Welcome to Jan's Dance Studio, located in Chatham, Ill. We offer classes in ballet, jazz, tumbling, hip-hop, tap, lyrical, ballroom and pointe. We are currently accepting registration for our wide variety of summer dance classes and camps. About Us:

Jan's Dance Studio Inc. is a dancing school located in Chatham, Ill., just outside of Springfield. We offer dance classes for children aged 3 and up, and also offer adult classes. Our instructors are certificated members of Chicago National Association for Dance, as well as Southern Association for Dance Masters. We are currently taking registration for the summer, and our schedule is available online. New classes may be added to the schedule as need arises. What's New?

Jan's Dance Studio will be presenting its annual recital on Saturday, June 13, at the Hoogland Center for the Arts. The show, entitled "Lullaby of Broadway," will be performed at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. The Hoogland Center is located at 420 South Sixth Street in Springfield, Ill. The event is free to the public, but please call the dancing studio ahead of time at 217-483-3688 to arrange to pick up tickets needed for admission.

Later this summer, students from Jan's Dance Studio will be dazzling fairgoers at the Illinois State Fair. Dancers will perform on Friday, Aug. 14 at 2 p.m. in the Illinois Building. Admittance is free to paid fairgoers.   

JDS Alum Gretchen Burghart is currently appearing in the first national tour of the Broadway smash "Legally Blonde: The Musical." Gretchen plays Enid, a feminist and activist who eventually befriends Elle. The show will be coming to Chicago's Ford Center for the Performing Arts from May 12 to June 7.
